England Men
The England national rugby
union team represents England in men's international rugby union. They compete
with France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales in the annual Six Nations
Championship. England have won the championship 29 times (as well as sharing 10
victories) – 13 times the Grand Slam and 26 times the Triple Crown – making
them the most successful outright winners in the history of the tournament.
They are currently the only team from the Northern Hemisphere to have won the
Rugby World Cup, winning the tournament in 2003, and have been runners-up on
three other occasions.
Although England have
almost exclusively played home matches at Twickenham since 1910, they have
occasionally used alternative English venues. England's home matches are at
Welford Road in Leicester (1923), Wembley Stadium in London (1992), Old
Trafford in Manchester (1997 and 2009), McAlpine Stadium in Huddersfield (twice
in 1998), Manchester Stadium (1992), [68] Manchester Stadium (1997 and 2009 ).

England are the only team
to have won more than two consecutive Grand Slams in 1913–1914, 1923–1924 and
1991–1992; While Wales and France are the only other teams to have done it
twice, for Wales in 1908–1909 and France in 1997–1998.
England won 429 of their
768 Test matches; 59.18% winning record.
Samoa Men
The Samoa national rugby
union team (also known as Manu Samoa) represents Samoa in men's international
rugby union and is controlled by the Samoa Rugby Union. They are also known as
Manu Samoa, which is believed to be derived from the name of a Samoan warrior.
They perform a traditional Samoan challenge called Siwa Tau before each game.
The Samoa Rugby Union was formerly a member of the Pacific Islands Rugby
Alliance (PIRA) along with Fiji and Tonga. They are ranked 12th in the world.
The Marist Brothers brought
the game of rugby to Western Samoa in 1924 and the Western Samoa Rugby Football
Union was formed in 1924. On 18 August 1924, Western Samoa played their first
international against Fiji in the capital Apia, the visitors winning 6–0. The
match was played at 7am so the Samoans could work later and was played on a
pitch with a large tree on the halfway line. Samoa won the return match 9-3 to
draw the series.
Manu Samoa plays in a blue
and white uniform, with the home strip featuring a blue jersey, white shorts
and blue socks, and the away kit contrasting in colour. Since 2007, the flag of
Samoa has been displayed on the left sleeve and the jersey has included
paia-like patterns. Sponsored logos appear on jerseys for matches other than
the Rugby World Cup, where branding is not permitted except by the equipment
